The ups and downs of poker

I had dinner last night with some of the Tilters at Sushi Roku in LA. Phil Gorden, Clonie Gowen and Allen Cunningham’s girlfriend Melissa Hayden all took a break from downtown and headed into Hollywood for a bite to eat. The waiter was a bit star struck and told Phil his friend had lent him Phil’s book to read. Phil joked with him that if everyone got the book lent to them he would never make any money from it.

I also just spoke to Shannon Elizabeth who has already found her way down under to the Aussie Millions. She has been playing some of the preliminary events and said that it was tough poker down there and she was experiencing a lot of bad beats. She said she had been playing well, though, so hopefully things will pick up for her.

Robert Mizrachi is still in the Pokerstars Caribbean Adventure Tournament approaching the final table. 16 players are left and should make to be an amazing night for the winner who gets to take home $1.5 million dollars.
