Online Poker
Online poker is another term used for Internet poker. And there are substantial differences between online poker and in-person gaming. Players of online poker do not sit directly across from each other, removing the ability to observer “tells” and other body language. Online poker players therefore learn to read betting patterns–reaction times, opponents’ fold and flop percentages, reaction times, etc. Also physical dealing, collection, and shuffling of the cards averages a rate of play at about thirty hands per hour, while in online poker they are instant therefore averaging a faster rate of play, sometimes up to a hundred hands per hour.
