Internet Poker
Internet Poker is the game of poker played over the Internet. Online venues of poker games are cheaper than brick and mortar casinos because overhead costs are lower and adding tables do not physically take up more space. Playing Internet poker also allows players to play at lower stakes (starting as love as 1ยข) and offers poker free rolls attracting predominantly beginners not wanting to pay an entry fee
In Internet poker, an obvious difference is that players do not sit across from each other, removing the ability to observer other players’ speech and body language which may or may not affect any given player’s ability to play. Internet poker players instead rely more on observations of betting patterns, flop percentages, and speed of play. Since physical “tells” are not available, adaptability to players’ behavior via these observations can be a critical component to new Internet poker environments.
