High Stakes Poker
High Stakes Poker is a poker television program broadcast by the GSN network on cable television. The poker game played on the show is a cash game variant No Limit Texas Hold ‘em.The first episode of High Stakes Poker began in January 2006 and ran for an additional 12 episodes. The success of its broadcast yielded a 16-episode second season and premiered in June 2006. The GSN network even invited 2006 World Series of Poker main event winner Jamie Gold to participate in the third season of High Stakes Poker. On April 2, 2007 GSN announced that High Stakes Poker would return for a fourth season citing strong ratings performance in younger demographics. The new episodes will be taped at the South Point Hotel & Casino. Taping will begin in May, 2007, and the season will premiere in the fall of 2007.
