Card Reader
A card reader is a slot inserted with a card at casinos, used to determine the use and benefits of the card points accrued. Players who sign up for membership accounts can be issued a card in which they are meant to be inserted into a card reader installed next to slot machines or table games or handed over to a pit supervisor to then process the card. many of the large casinos in Las Vegas employ card readers to keep track on their members, such as the MGM Mirage. When a player’s card is inserted into a card reader, usually a light around the card will turn green or of any various colors and inform the player readiness for play. Often times, the increased amount of play using these cards will also amount in increased rewards.
